Bison Meat Sticks

Soooo yummy. And so different than my usual it being grassfed bison (much higher in protein) and skewered! I don’t have a grill (damn apartment living) so I used my oven and still came out great. Thanks for the idea Miguel (via @crossfit Journal). I modified to my liking:

✔ 1lb grassfed ground bison
✔ Seasonings of choice (I used ground cumin, Trader Joe’s 21 Salute, garlic powder and some paprika)
✔ Olive oil (optional – use if ground meat is very lean like ground turkey)
✔ Wooden (or metal) skewers
✔ Fresh guacamole for dipping (optional)

1⃣ Preheat oven to 400*

2⃣ Mix the ground bison with all your seasonings

3⃣ Grab about a palm size bunch into an oblong shape onto the skewer and repeat for all skewers (it yielded 7 skewers for me)

4⃣ Place in oven for about 10 minutes depending on your oven. I flipped them half way through cooking

✅ Verdict? Very delicious! I had a couple skewers for lunch and dipped it into freshly made guacamole. Would recommend!
