My #wcw goes to Abbye “Pudgy” Stockton. Abbye was born in 1917. After high school, she started a sedentary job and became displeased with how the inactivity affected her body so she began lifting weights.

Abbye said:
“In those days, lifting weights was thought to be unfeminine. The misinformed think if women strength-trained, they’d become masculine looking. We laughed knowing they were wrong.”
Abbye became the poster girl for physical training. She showed women around the world the values of strength training. 💪🏻👸🏼
Jack LaLanne said she could do everything and was an exceptional human being. 🍻Here’s to one of the pioneers for all the strong ladies out there!
