Join me as I navigate through my love for Olympic Weightlifting, Flexible Dieting and Life

It’s official. I now officially identify as a Weightlifter that CrossFits. For a while there it was an identity crisis. I mean, I’ve been a CrossFitter for nearly five years. That’s what I knew and loved. I still do love it, and still do it. But I fell in love with weightlifting more.  Funny that …

…is a bitch. There is so much to those two little words! Both men and women deal with it. Both men and women can struggle with it. The struggle can even go in stages. It can be positive or negative.  In these last few months, my body has been transforming – generally for the better! …

Brace yourselves folks, you’re in for a long one. Let me first begin by saying that this is NOT intended to bash or talk Paleo down. I’m just going over MY experience with it over some years. I know a lot of people that it has worked for and do great on it. We’re all …

Rita Benavidez

WCW: One of my olympic weightlifting idols right here. She is lean, super strong and beautiful. If I had to pick someone to chase as far as strength, size and what she has accomplished, she’d definitely be in my top three.

So simple, yet once again, something I hadn’t had in quite a while like this. A homemade chicken and cheese quesadilla. So far, these are the best low carb (high fiber) tortillas that I’ve tried. 1RM Split Jerk PR of 70kg/155lbs, woohoo! A big thanks to the awesome coaching by Coach Rick. I know I probably can go heavier, but it wouldn’t be pretty yet. And it’s good to have a baseline 1RM because I hadn’t tried for 1RM before of just the jerk. I was basing my numbers off of clean and jerk.

Oly classes are paying off! This is me at our 3rd Annual Barbells for Boobs event, and though I didn’t get the time I was shooting for, I was happy with my form throughout Grace! This was during one of the last few reps. Much thanks to Koach Kris and Coach Cody Rice.
